On December 10 our family went to the VanAndel Arena to see the Walking with the Dinosaurs. The kids loved it. Alex was ready to see it with his mask and all! He was waiting a whole month to see his beloved friends - THE DINOSAURS!! It was a great family night. Here are some pictures of our night.
We had front row seats so everything was up close and so real (minus the robotic stands some of the dinosaurs had). This guy here "walked" us through the life of the dinosaurs. How they became and how they were lost.
It was a great production!

These ones were fun to watch - they were men dressed up as dinosaurs - you could hardly tell!

Well throughout the whole night Alex and Maddie awaited the arrival of the Bad Boy - T-Rex! They finally got to the moment and a shadow appeared of the meanest, baddest dinosaur - THE T-REX - ALEX SHOUTED (while trembling) ITS T-REX!!
Ok maybe when he is full grown! The large shadow was only a baby!

Soon to follow came the mother T-REX and satisfied Alex's imagination!

Then it got loud as the destruction began - a large comet came and destroyed all the dinosaurs! WOW was it loud and to have seen it all so close was AWESOME!!
The kids will never forget it - I think Alex dreamed of dinosaurs for the next 3 nights

Oh, my - I can't imagine sitting in the front row for that!! I'm sure it was a night that the kids won't EVER forget!!
I don't know of any two kids their ages who have seen more in their lives! What a fun, exciting night. So glad you were able to enjoy. thanks for sharing the pictures! Love you! Grandpa and Grandma D
Sorry we missed the dinosaur event - our grandkids would have loved it! They're planning their fifth birthday party with a dinosaur theme - Noah likes the T-rex and Abby likes the tryceraclops (or something like that - the one with the big, pointy head with the horn in the middle). Not sure which is Sophie's favorite, but they would have loved the show!
